Thania Peck is a model. She was photographed while taking a bath by the extraordinary Andi Elloway. The result is a series of erotic black and white photographs that capture moments we rarely get to see. Taking a bath is, mostly, a solitary endeavor. For a lot of people, the bathroom is the only place in the home where they can get some well deserved privacy.
The act of letting someone in on those private moments is powerful in its own right. The fact that Thania Peck was willing to expose herself to the gaze of a photographer shows us the strength of vulnerability.
There is no undercurrent of exhibitionism in these photographs, but there is a hint of voyeurism. As the viewer we are invited in, we are invited to look… and our intrusion on a very private moment is felt when Thania meets our gaze with her own. It is the meeting of those two gazes that creates the tension inherent in these photographs.
All of which boils down to… pretty nude model is pretty! Looksee!
