Once upon a time on a high school field trip, the Peepz at the back of the bus where taking turns singing songs. This one girl… you know the one… with perfect skin, long black hair, and a petite frame started singing “Lady In Red.” Obviously, I started singing along, because, I mean, it’s Chris De Burgh, man, what else are you going to do?
Apparently, that was the wrong call, because I was told by the other passengers that I should shut up. Miss perfect skin and long black hair told me I couldn’t keep a tune.
I still can’t keep a tune, but I would like to say a big fuck you to all the people who have ever made anyone feel like they shouldn’t do something just because they suck at it. Life is a lot more fun when you don’t give a shit about looking like an idiot and I’m going to sing if I want to, dammit!
Imagine a world where a young David Bellemere was told that he took shitty pictures or where a young Élodie Frégé was told she sucked at being nude and they just gave up? Where would we be then? Huh?
Thankfully, Élodie Frégé doesn’t take criticism too seriously. Otherwise, she never would have survived an entire season on Star Academy. You’ve got to have balls the size of Mariah Carey’s ego if you’re going to be the last person standing on a reality TV/talent show.
We don’t have to worry about David Bellemere, I don’t think he’s ever taken a shitty picture.
